Happy Friday

Hi all, been soo busy lately, found it hard to get 10 minutes to sit down at my mac and blog. Nevermind, Im here now. I have a huge huge love for buttons at the moment. Especially metal ones or cute whimsical ones. I've been having a go at making jewelry the last week or so and im super happy with how its turning out. Ill try and get some nice pics up later today...just need a willing hand model! I've been scouring the net for some pretty pretty buttons and I've come up with these, I seriously need them all....like now!


This embroidered button hoop is so cute, don't you think? I'd love to have this on my wall!


I also love drawings of buttons, so sweet. I'd love a notebook covered in drawn buttons.


These are my favourite kind of buttons, pretty metal ones. They look soooo good when they are made into jewelry too!

and what more can I possibly say about these beauties except, oh my gosh i want to eat them all. Yummiest buttons I've ever seen by far!


And while this isn't strictly all buttons its still stunning. So inspiring, I could sit looking all day!

Vintage look, button bracelet

Evening, well goodnight almost, I'm really sleepy but I just wanted to post this bracelt I made earlier today. I made it for my bestie but it's soo cute Im going to make some more, maybe keep one for me and sell some on etsy. It's not the most amazing pic Im afraid but Ill hopefully have a connector for my camera soon and Ill be able to use pics from that rather than my trusty iphone...although I do still love you iphone, you are the best gadget!

Cupcake heaven...

My first ever decorated cupcake. Im sooo chuffed with it, its really cute. Thinking these would be a creally nice idea to have instead of placecards at my wedding with little signs in them with peoples names on them.

A Mothers Day full of Cake!

It's Mother's Day and I have been completely spoiled by my baby boy. Lots of cupcake making goodies. Im going to decorate some pretty pretty cakes this afternoon hopefully and I will post some piccies on here. I also have some pics of things I've been making recently that I need to get on here. Im hoping to get some better pictures done of them...I just need a model and a pretty location...hmmm think think think.

Alice in Wonderland...

I went to see the new Alice in Wonderland in 3D last night....one word...AMAZING! Im still super high and floaty from watching it. I now want to live in the white castle and wear those B.E.A.utiful dresses and defiantely want to have mad tea parties. I think I might aim to have one this summer. Lots of teaz and delicious cupcakes.

I have to admit that I have always liked Anne Hathaway films, they are so light hearted, princess type pics. but she is sooo lovely in this. Even though the floaty way she walks rounds made me smile. I would like to be her in this film hehe!

I love love love the magical dream world of wonderland. Actually any magical land really, labyrinth, narnia...i could go on!

And last but definately not least...Mr Johnny Depp. What an amazing actor. He makes the mad hatter soooo loveable. I didnt think too much of the hatter in disneys version but he was by far my favourite character in this version. Again, I am biased as I do love Mr. Depp in most of his films.

All in all it was one of the best films I've seen in ages, especially as it was in 3D. I want to watch it again to see the details I missed.

dreaming...

Good evening!

I've been thinking about a dreamy situation, I would absolutely love one day to start up a cute handmade pretties shop alongside a cupcakery, where I would also sell hand decorated cupcakes and sweets! Yummy, I'd like to have it set in a gorgeous country cottage and have a studio in the back where I can make beautiful things all day long. I'd also like to open my studio up every now and again to hold small intimate workshops on crafting/bookbinding and maybe sugarcraft. I would live upstairs with my boys and have some chickens in the back garden, and maybe a goat.

I love this cottage, it's so pretty and has so much character, i'd love this to be treasure and treats!

Driving driving...

I made my usual weekly drive to Leicester today but the weather was so gorgeous it felt different. I had a fab sing along to all my favourite songs and came up with loads of cute ideas. Especially for the shop I hope to open one day. I'll have to make sure I get all my ideas down in my project book before I forget them all!

Crochet LOVE!

Good Evening, I have been without internet for the past few days so I haven't been able to blog *sob* but I'm back now and I've been busy busy! You may or may not know I've been teaching myself to crochet and am learning all the different stitches by making lots of squares for a patchwork throw. This is my second square and I am so pleased with it. I love the colour and the pretty pattern. I'm thinking that I might make another one and turn it into an cover for my iphone! Hmm...ideas!

Good Morning, it's simply an essential part of my morning to have some coffee! I love it, it's what gets me out of bed (apart from my 2 year old!) but I cups and mugs, I think the cup you drink from plays a part in your coffee enjoyment.
